Oliva De Rose

This is Olivia’s first year as a member of High Voltage and she is beyond grateful to be part of such a talented group! She has performed with EDMT for five years and has participated in 13 shows. Some of her favorites include Annie, Cinderella, The Music Man, Disney’s Newsies, A Christmas Carol, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Not only does Olivia enjoy performing onstage, but also loves taking a part in the technical side of theatre. She has worked many shows backstage as a prop assistant, a quick changer and a follow spot operator.

Olivia has trained in four years of jazz, six years of tap, and two years of acting. She is also a fifth year returning member of EDMT’s Tap Company. In her free time you can find her hanging out with her friends, watching movies, shows, and listening to music. She has met many amazing friends at EDMT that are now like family, and is thankful for all the opportunities and experiences EDMT has provided for her. She hopes to continue to grow and pursue this passion throughout her life!

This is Carson’s first year as a member of High Voltage. He is proud to join this talented group. Carson is also excited to be a part of EDMT’s SpecTAPular Tap Company. He has been in two shows at EDMT and enjoyed performing as a Wolf/Ensemble in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Ben/Disney’s Descendants.

Carson has trained seven years in competitive tap, jazz, contemporary, ballet and hip hop. He is excited for new adventures and would like to thank his friends and family for their support.

This is Alayna’s second year as a member of High Voltage. She is honored and excited to be a part of this amazingly talented group! Alayna, also known as Layni, has been on stage since she was six years old, and has performed in 23 EDMT productions. Some of her past roles include Mrs. Paroo/The Music Man, Charlotte/Cinderella, Yertle the Turtle/Seussical The Musical, Pepper/Annie, Curly/Peter Pan, Tweedle Dum/Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, and most recently Buttons/Disney’s Newsies.

Layni has been performing for family and friends since before she could walk. Her training includes nine years of acting, jazz and vocal lessons, six years of ballet for musical theatre, and eight years of tap technique classes. Layni is proud to be a part of SpecTAPular Elite in her fifth season with EDMT’s Tap Company. She has taken several master classes and intensives in New York City, and has been fortunate enough to perform with Disney’s Dance the Magic on Broadway and in Disneyland. In her spare time, Layni enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and listening to music. She loves all genres of music and depending on the day, you may find her listening to Les Miserables, David Bowie, Billy Joel, or Conan Gray.

Ryan is thrilled to be a first year member in EDMT’s High Voltage! He has been performing with EDMT since he was nine years old and has been in 10 shows at EDMT. Past roles include Jay/Disney’s Descendants, Charles Cratchit/A Christmas Carol, Bishop/Disney’s Frozen JR, Abe/Disney’s Newsies, Featured Dancer/Matilda The Musical.

Ryan’s training includes four years of jazz and three years of tap. He is also a second year member in EDMT’s Tap Company. Ryan was also a choreographer for his school’s production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. In his free time he likes to hang out with friends, travel, and watch TV shows.

Jack is a third year member of High Voltage. He has been performing with EDMT for three years and has been in seven shows. His favorite roles include Gaston/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jacob Marley/A Christmas Carol, Levi/Potiphar/Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mayor Shinn/The Music Man, and Morris Delancey/Disney’s Newsies.

Jack’s training includes jazz, tap, voice, and acting. He loves being with his family and friends, playing guitar during his free time, is a big fan of chemistry, and likes to watch The Office and movies including Marvel and Star Wars. Jack dreams of being a Broadway actor in New York and fulfilling his life dream!

Nathan Hansen

This is Nathan’s fourth year as a member of EDMT’s tour group, High Voltage, and he is so grateful to be a part of such an amazing group. He has performed in 22 EDMT shows and hopes to do many more. Some of his favorite roles include Gaston/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Bob Cratchit/A Christmas Carol, Simeon/Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Albert/Disney’s Newsies, Ewart Dunlop/The Music Man, Old Man Jenkins/The SpongeBob Musical, Wickersham Brother/Seussical The Musical, Chill/SpyQuest, and John Darling/Peter Pan.

Nathan has five years of training in musical theatre jazz, eight years of tap dancing, three years of ballet, seven years of acting training, and three years of vocal training. Nathan has taken on the role of High Voltage Vocal Assistant and Dance Lieutenant. Nathan was part of EDMT’s Tap Company for 3 seasons, 2018-2021. Nathan also trained in various New York masterclasses including a Something Rotten Broadway tap masterclass, a Moulin Rouge Broadway jazz masterclass by Max Clayton, and a Frozen Broadway hip hop masterclass. He also got the privilege of performing on the New Amsterdam Broadway stage in NYC with EDMT’s Tap Company in 2019.

In his free time, Nathan enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, taking his mom’s pilates class, and singing. Nathan is currently a junior at Oak Ridge High School. Nathan hopes to include musical theatre later in his life, but pursue engineering or law in college. His dream schools are Harvard Law (what, like it’s hard?) and California Polytechnic State University for Engineering.

Nathan would like to thank his fellow HV members for all their hard work and dedication this season. He is so proud of how far they have come. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Lily Koch

This is Lily’s first year as a member of High Voltage, and she is beyond excited! She is so grateful to be a part of such an amazing group! She has been with EDMT for the past five years. Some of her favorite roles have been Queen Iduna/Disney’s Frozen JR and Sally Anderson/A Christmas Carol.

Over the past 14 years, Lily has trained in vocals, acting, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, tap, and ballroom. She recently worked as a dance assistant in EDMT’s production of Disney’s Descendants. Aside from performing, she enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with her family and dogs, the rain, and Christmas. Lily has always looked up to those in High Voltage and is so honored that she can now be a part of it and hopefully inspire future members!

Leighton L’Engle

Leighton is ecstatic to be performing with High Voltage for her second year! She has been performing with EDMT since she was six years old and has performed in 23 shows. Past roles include Annie/Annie, Matilda/Matilda The Musical, Elsa/Disney’s Frozen JR, Chip/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Slightly/Peter Pan, Thing One/Seussical The Musical, Morie/Disney’s Newsies, Coroner/The Wizard of Oz, Dormouse/Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr, Featured Dancer/The Music Man, Ghost of Christmas Future/A Christmas Carol, Silly Girl/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Rueben’s Wife/Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Maleficent/Disney’s Descendants.

Leighton’s experience includes eight years of jazz, seven years of tap, six years of acting, four years of gymnastics, and ballet. She performed with EDMT’s Tap Company and was also featured in the 2022 Broadway Gala with Broadway Sacramento.

Leighton is also involved at EDMT with the artistic staff. She was an Assistant Choreographer in the training show, Maxwell Detective Agency, and Disney’s Descendants. She was also a counselor at EDMT’s summer camps, and currently co-teaches a Mini Me class at EDMT. In her spare time she likes to travel and hang out with her friends and family.

Brooke Minnie

This is Brooke’s second year as a member of High Voltage. She is very excited to continue in this group with new people! Brooke has been performing with EDMT for 11 seasons and has been in 22 shows. Some past roles include Anna/Disney’s Frozen JR, Emily/A Christmas Carol, Silly Girl/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Alice/Matilda The Musical, Thing Two/Seussical The Musical, Kate/Annie, and The Lullaby League/The Wizard of Oz.

Brooke has been dancing since she was three years old. Those years include 10 years of jazz, eight years of tap, and six years of ballet. She has also been taking acting classes for five years, and vocal training for four years. Brooke is a sophomore at Oak Ridge High School and has high hopes to maintain high grades. When not onstage, Brooke loves being with family, traveling, hanging out with friends, and playing with her cat. She also enjoys painting, drawing, rain, Disney, the holiday season, and fashion. Brooke aspires to perform as a career.

Abby Rice

Abby is ecstatic to be performing with High Voltage for her first year! She has been in EDMT productions since she was ten years old and is excited to be going into her seventh season with EDMT. She has been involved with 18 shows, performing in 14 of them. Her favorites include, Annie, Seussical The Musical, Cinderella, The Music Man, Disney’s Newsies, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. While Abby loves being on stage, she also likes diving into the technical side of theatre including costumes, props, wigs, follow spots, stage crew, as well as taking a theatre tech and production class at her school.

Abby’s training includes seven years of jazz, eight years of tap, one year of acting, and one year of ballet. Abby is also a fourth year returning member of EDMT’s Tap Company. She was also an assistant choreographer for Rock of Ages High School Edition at Oak Ridge High School.  She is a senior and hopes to go into a career of interior design. When not performing, Abby enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite activities are thrifting, hiking, and listening to music. Some of her favorite artists include Taylor Swift, The Lumineers, Greta Van Fleet, and Maya Hawke.

Jacob Rummel

Jacob is thrilled to be a part of High Voltage this year! It’s his first year with the group, and he’s genuinely excited about the amazing experiences ahead. Jacob has been with EDMT for two years, taking part in three shows. Some of his favorite roles include Mr. Smythe/A Christmas Carol, Baker and Monsieur D’arque/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Issachar/Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Jacob’s talents include three years of jazz, four years of acting, two years of vocal lessons, and one year of tap under his belt. He’s met so many incredible people at EDMT, and is always eager to make new connections with fellow theater enthusiasts. When he’s not immersed in the world of theater, Jacob loves hanging out with his friends and listening to music. He would like to thank his friends and family for their constant support! His passion for theater is evident, and he’s only just getting started on this amazing journey.

Madelyn Rummel

This is Madelyn’s first year as a member of High Voltage! She is thrilled to get to share the stage with this fabulous group. Madelyn has been a part of EDMT for the past five years with 10 shows under her belt. Past roles include: Asher/Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Madame De La Grande Bouche/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Mrs.Mops/A Christmas Carol, and Ethel Tofflemier/The Music Man.

Madelyn’s training includes five years of tap, five years of acting, five years of vocal, and three years of jazz here at EDMT. If you count singing and dancing around the living room, she has been honing her craft for the last 18 years.

Around EDMT, you can find Madelyn either performing onstage, or in one of her creative backstage roles. Some notable ones include Assistant Stage Manager (Disney’s Descendants), Lighting Designer/Operator (High Voltage’s Cabernet, Maxwell Detective Agency), scenic team member, and Follow Spot Lead. She loves learning all aspects of theatre and digging deep into what makes a show tick. When not at EDMT, Madelyn enjoys driving around blasting music in her Prius, hanging out with her friends, or working her job at Dutch Bros.

Julia Slavin

This is Julia’s first year as a member of High Voltage! She is so excited to perform alongside such talented people. Julia has been performing with EDMT for seven years, and has been in 17 shows. Some of her favorite roles include Mal/Disney’s Descendants, Anna/Disney’s Frozen JR, Amanda Thripp/Matilda The Musical, Mrs. Mayor/Seussical The Musical, Tessie/Annie, and Howie/Disney’s Newsies.

Julia’s training includes seven years of jazz, five years of tap, seven years of acting, and seven years of vocals. She participated in EDMT’s master classes, and has also taken audition workshops at Disneyland. Julia is an eighth grader at Rolling Hills Middle School. When not performing, Julia enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and playing with her cat, KitBoo. She also loves Disneyland, Christmas, the rain, Tahoe, and being with her sisters. She hopes to continue performing in the future and pursue it as a career!

Khyle Smith

This is Khyle’s first year as a member of High Voltage! He is overjoyed to get to work with this talented group of people. While Khyle has been performing for five years with various companies, he is glad he finally found a home at EDMT. Khyle’s past roles include Judah/Joseph and the Amazing Dreamcoat, Marius/Les Miserables, and Teen Angel/Roger/Grease.

Khyle’s training includes two years of acting classes and a lifetime of singing. He started in church before finding his love for musical theatre! Khyle loves hanging with his family and goofing around with Maddie Rummel everyday. Khyle wants to send a shout out to his mother for always being his rock!

Claire Suneson

Claire is beyond excited to be performing with the incredibly talented cast of High Voltage as a first-year member! She has been a part of the EDMT family since she was six years old and is fortunate enough to have participated in 13 EDMT productions. Some of her favorite roles include Molly/Annie, Young Elsa/Disney’s Frozen JR, and Speedy McRabbit/The Greatest Race.

Claire’s training includes nine years of ballet, four years of tap, and three years of jazz dance, as well as acting and vocal training. Claire is also a proud member of EDMT’s Tap Company. In her spare time Claire loves to play piano, find new books to read in Barnes & Noble, spend time with her friends, and play with her cat, Gravy The Lord Of Biscuits.

Bruno Szegedy

This is Bruno’s first year with High Voltage, and he is thrilled to be part of this new season. He has been performing with EDMT for five years and has loved every minute of it. Some of his past roles include Olin Britt/The Music Man, Fred Anderson/A Christmas Carol, Maurice/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. His training includes three years of jazz, three years of acting, and four years of vocal lessons.

When he is not doing theater, he enjoys spending time with family, hanging out with friends, traveling, hiking, volleyball, reading, singing, gaming, and playing board games. He is currently in his senior year of high school and is studying to become a programmer/software engineer. He is forever thankful to his parents and EDMT for making him who he is today.

Reese Throckmorton

This is Reese’s first year in High Voltage and she is beyond excited. She has been performing at EDMT for seven years and has done a total of 18 shows. Her past favorite roles include Anna/Disney’s Frozen JR, Silly Girl/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Benjamin’s Wife/Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sally Anderson/A Christmas Carol, and Hortensia/Matilda The Musical.

Reese’s training includes seven years of jazz, five years of tap, and five years of acting. She also received the gypsy robe for The Music Man and worked backstage for Junior League of Superheros and Maxwell Detective Agency. Reese had a blast working as a camp counselor for three weeks this summer. When not performing, Reese loves to travel, bake cookies, and hangout with friends and family.

Tori Turo

This is Tori’s third year as a High Voltage member, and she is honored to perform with such a talented group! She has learned so much from her prior years and is very thankful for the people who have inspired her and pushed her to be a better performer. Tori has been performing with EDMT for eight seasons and has been in 17 shows. Her favorite roles include Emily/A Christmas Carol, Elsa/Disney’s Frozen JR, Zaneeta Shinn/The Music Man, Matilda/Matilda The Musical, Annie/Annie, and Slightly/Peter Pan. She is extremely grateful for how EDMT has brought her lifelong friends, even sisters.

This summer, Tori had the opportunity to perform in The Music Man with Broadway at Music Circus. She was a part of the junior company and had the pleasure of learning from Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya and Maggie May. She is so grateful for her experience with Broadway at Music Circus and all of the incredible actors she got to learn from. Tori is very appreciative of Debbie and the whole EDMT staff for preparing her for that opportunity.

One of Tori’s other passions is working with children. This year she helped direct The Maxwell Detective Agency, a training show for EDMT’s youngest performers. She also assisted teaching an EDMT Mini Me class along with working as a camp counselor this summer. She hopes to continue working with kids in her future. Tori’s training includes eight years of jazz, seven years of tap, seven years of acting, three years of ballet, and five years of vocal lessons. Aside from performing, she participates in speech and debate and excels in school. Tori hopes to continue performing in her future.

Abigail Waymire

Abigail is so excited to perform in her second year of High Voltage with these incredible people. She has performed with EDMT for six years as well as three years in San Jose, for a grand total of 20 shows. Favorite roles include Silly Girl/Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Alma Hix/The Music Man, Mrs. Cratchit/A Christmas Carol, Stevie/Disney’s Newsies, and Little Timoune/Once On This Island.

Abigail’s training includes seven years of jazz and vocal instruction, six years of acting, five years of tap and two years of ballet. She has been a part of the backstage team for nine shows including props, stage crew, quick changing, projections, and backstage coordinator. Abigail also happens to be a published author. In her free time, Abigail enjoys reading, writing, spending time in nature, and being with her parents.
