ALEX ARMSTRONG

This is Alex’s third year as a member of High Voltage, and she is excited and grateful to be a part of such an amazing group of performers. Alex began performing with EDMT in 2019 in her first show, Goldie Rocks and the 3 Bears. She has performed in 19 shows and is excited to do many more. Alex’s favorite shows include Ronald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Disney’s Newsies the Broadway Musical, and Seussical the Musical. In addition to performing, Alex loves working backstage, and she also enjoys working with younger performers.

Alex’s training includes seven years of jazz, tap, and acting, three years of vocal lessons, and one year of ballet. Alex enjoyed four years as a member of EDMT’s Tap Company. She has also enjoyed performing with Disney’s Dance the Magic in Disneyland and training with her High Voltage friends in NYC.

In her free time, Alex enjoys hanging out with her friends, watching movies, being outside in nature, and watching sunsets. Alex is proud to be a part of the EDMT community; not only to continue growing as a performer, but to have the opportunity to work with some truly inspirational people and develop amazing friendships. Alex looks forward to creating many more memories through her EDMT journey.

LUKE ARMSTRONG

This is Luke’s second year as a member of EDMT’s High Voltage, and he is so excited to be back performing with such a talented cast. Luke first started performing with EDMT at age ten in its Disney summer camp before performing in his first show, Beauty and the Beast, the following winter. Since then, Luke has performed in 11 EDMT shows. Some of Luke’s favorite shows include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, The Addams Family A Musical Comedy, Seussical The Musical, and 42nd Street.

Luke’s training includes four years of jazz, four years of tap, four years of vocal lessons, and one year of dance technique. He has also participated in workshop classes with EDMT in jazz and tap. Luke has performed with EDMT’s Tap Company in the 2024-2025 season and also returned to perform in their Winter Showcase this past winter.

When Luke is not performing on stage he enjoys working backstage as a prop assistant and a follow spot operator. This past summer, he also interned with EDMT’s summer camps, helping the next generation of EDMT performers. With the rest of his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends.

LUCAS BLANCO

This is Lucas’ second year as a member of EDMT’s High Voltage, and he is so excited to be part of such an inspiring group for another year! He has been with EDMT since 2022 and has performed in 13 EDMT productions, along with participating in six local shows. Some of his favorite roles with EDMT include Willy Wonka / Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Wickersham Brother / Seussical the Musical, Hugo Peabody / Bye Bye Birdie, Jafar / Disney’s Descendants the Musical, Young Ebeneezer / A Christmas Carol, and SpongeBob / SpongeBob the Musical.

Lucas’ training includes four years of dance, four years of vocal training, three years of acting, two years of tap, and multiple master classes. In his free time, Lucas likes hanging out with his friends, watching his favorite shows and movies, and listening to music. Lucas is attending Folsom High School and would like to thank those around him. He would also like to tell everyone to live their lives to the fullest.

CARBON BURRUP

This is Carbon’s first year as a member of High Voltage, and he is extremely grateful for the opportunity! He has performed with EDMT for three years and has participated in 11 shows. Some of his favorite roles include Carlos / Disney’s Descendants the Musical, Bruce / Finding Nemo, a Wickersham Brother /Seussical, the title role / Willy Wonka, Conrad Birdie / Bye Bye Birdie, and Alex / Madagascar A Musical Adventure Jr. Performing with EDMT is one of Carbon’s favorite things to do, and in his free time, you can find him dancing, singing, reading, and hanging out with friends. The friends he has made at EDMT are lifelong ones.

Singing is his greatest passion, and he fully intends to make a career of it. He is excited for many more shows with EDMT and many more seasons with High Voltage, and he is ready for whatever the future holds.

LIVIA DARBY

This will be Livia’s second year as a member of High Voltage. Starting with her first show with EDMT in 2017, she has been a part of 15 amazing productions. Her favorite past roles and shows include Flotsam / Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Delta Nu / Legally Blonde, Ancestor / The Addams Family, Kikko / The Wizard of Oz, and Chorus Girl / 42nd Street. She has also been backstage for a total of 11 shows at EDMT and two at her former high school in roles such as costume designer, stage crew, spotlight operator, quick changer, assistant choreographer, and more.

Livia has trained in a variety of dance styles such as jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, and more. She began dancing at two years old and plans to pursue dance in any way possible. She is also a gymnastics coach as well as the dance teacher to a wonderful gymnastics competitive team. When Livia does get some downtime, she is often spending time with friends, creating something, reading, or spending time with her amazing family. She is so excited for this season of High Voltage!

LAXMI DAS

Laxmi is so excited to be a part of High Voltage’s 18th season! She originally started performing with EDMT in 2014 and made her return, last season, doing a total of seven shows. Some favorite past roles include Dorothy / The Wizard of Oz, Mad Hatter / Alice in Wonderland, Mae Peterson / Bye Bye Birdie, Belinda Blair / Noises Off, and Clara / The Nutcracker. Laxmi also enjoys working backstage where the REAL theater magic occurs. Any EDMT show she’s not in, Laxmi will be behind the scenes quickly changing. She started working backstage at Harris Center a year ago, where she works as a dresser for Broadway touring shows.

Laxmi’s training includes 12 years of jazz, 11 years of ballet (five on pointe!), nine years of contemporary, eight years of acting and around seven years of other various dance styles including tap and hip hop. She joined her first dance team at age eight and started competing at age ten. When she got to high school, Laxmi continued dance, but also did four years of theater classes and shows at Oak Ridge High School. Laxmi started teaching dance two years ago and quickly fell in love with watching how much kids grow in the classroom. She is very excited to be teaching jazz and technique classes at EDMT this season. When she isn’t onstage, backstage, or in the dance studio, Laxmi is probably working on a craft or watching movies with friends!

BECCA FREAR

This is Becca’s first year as a member of High Voltage! She is incredibly thankful and excited to be a part of such a talented group. Becca has been with EDMT for five years, and she has participated in 12 productions. Some of her favorite shows include SpongeBob the Musical, where she played Karen the Computer, as well as 42nd Street, and The Little Mermaid.

Over the past 4 years, she has trained in jazz, tap, vocal, and acting. Becca was also a part of EDMT’s Tap Co for three years. She has a deep love for working backstage and has quick-changed for High Voltage for three years, assisted with wigs, served as a costume assistant, and as a fellow spot operator. She has been a counselor and instructor at EDMT’s summer camps for the past few years.

She has a deep passion for working with children and loves to encourage and inspire. One of her favorite leadership opportunities was serving as Dance Captain for EDMT’s Disney Aristocats. Becca has met so many lifelong friends and made unforgettable memories. She is incredibly grateful for her friends, the staff, and everyone at EDMT who has supported and believed in her throughout the years. She would especially like to thank her Mom, Dad, and Brother for their support every step of the way.

RYLIE HAGE

Rylie is thrilled to be a first-year member in EDMT’s High Voltage! She is so grateful to be a part of this amazing and talented group and is so excited for this opportunity! Rylie absolutely loves theatre and performing. Rylie has been with EDMT for five years, and she has done 16 EDMT productions. Some of her past roles include: Melman the Giraffe / Madagascar- A Musical Adventure Jr, Lead Sardine / The SpongeBob Musical, Alice / Bye, Bye Birdie, Doll / Mary Poppins, Mrs. Bucket / Willy Wonka, Flotsam / The Little Mermaid, Bird Girl / Seussical the Musical, Children’s Choir / Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Audrey/Descendants the Musical, and Fan at 10 / A Christmas Carol. She is also a fourth year member of EDMT’s Tap Company, and has performed with that group at Imagination Campus in Disneyland, twice. Rylie has trained in EDMT classes for 5 years, including tap, jazz, ballet, acting, and vocals. Outside of EDMT, Rylie loves hanging out with her friends and family, shopping, baking, and running around with her four younger brothers. Rylie is beyond grateful for her family and everyone who has supported her through this journey!

DILLON HICKS

Dillon is filled with excitement to be a part of this season’s High Voltage as a first year! Dillon has been performing with EDMT since he was 11. Some of his favorite roles in the past have been JoJo / Seussical the Musical, Flounder / The Little Mermaid, Charlie / Willy Wonka, and Michael Banks / Mary Poppins.

Dillon’s training includes three years of jazz and one year of ballet, along with regular vocal lessons outside of shows. Dillon has also been a green group camp counselor for EDMT’s summer camps. When Dillon is not performing he likes hanging out with friends, playing games, photography, and listening to music.

EMI MADSEN

This is Emi’s first year in High Voltage, and she could not be happier to be joining such an amazing and talented family of entertainers! She is grateful to EDMT for helping to start her musical theater experience almost eight years ago. Emi is ecstatic to be coming back to her roots. She is also thankful for her parents, who have been unbelievably supportive in so many ways.

Past roles include: Mrs. Wormwood / Matilda, Roxie / Chicago, Mrs. Banks / Mary Poppins, Hope Harcourt / Anything Goes, and Wendy / Peter Pan. When not performing, Emi likes to run, ski, rock climb, hang out with friends, or spend a quiet night at home with her family. She is so grateful for the opportunity to grow her skills and to learn from amazing instructors and extremely skilled peers. She is excited to perform with her brother Paul, who is a hilarious and amazingly talented performer. Emi is looking forward to continuing her performing journey after graduation and beyond, and she is excited for the opportunities she has been given to continue sharing the joy of performing.

PAUL MADSEN

Paul cannot be more excited to be in his second year of High Voltage. Paul’s first show with EDMT was Disney Frozen Jr, all the way back in 2022. You wouldn’t believe now that his parents had to ignore his tears and begging, and made him audition for the show. Paul has loved musical theater ever since and has already performed in ten EDMT productions. Some of Paul’s favorite roles have been Squidward/ The Spongebob Musical, Hugo Peabody / Bye Bye Birdie, Lord Farquaad / Shrek the Musical, Lefou / Beauty and the Beast, Winthrop / Music Man, and Sven / Disney Frozen Jr.

Outside of High Voltage, Paul is participating in his first year of Tap Co, hoping to expand his limited knowledge on this aspect of dance, and yes, that means that a ballet class is in his near future. Paul is hoping to learn how to do a back flip sometime this year so you’ll have to come to every show to see if he can make it happen during a performance! He is beyond excited to do High Voltage alongside his big sister, Emi. Most of the time, when Paul is not out on a run or reading a book, he is probably listening to and practicing Broadway music with his sisters. Shout out to voice instructor, Maureen, who is helping Paul unlock his potential. Outside of EDMT, Paul loves learning Japanese, juggling, and hanging out with friends.

NATHANIEL MILLER

Nathaniel is extremely excited to be a part of the High Voltage Company as a first-year member! He has been performing on a stage since the age of 5, doing over 10 shows, although only recently starring in his first EDMT production last summer. Most memorable past roles include Patrick / SpongeBob the Musical, Chad / Disney’s Descendants the Musical, Kevin G / Mean Girls, Wickersham Brother / Seussical the Musical, Jeter / Footloose the Musical, Shrek / Shrek the Musical Jr., and Walter Hobbs / Elf the Musical Jr.

Nathaniel’s training includes seven years of vocal lessons,two years of Jazz, and a year of tap. He is thrilled to be starting his EDMT journey with his fellow company members, and hopes to continue until he transfers for college. In his free time, Nathaniel enjoys going on Dutch runs with his friends and reading countless novels.

LYLA MIRHADI

Lyla is so overjoyed and grateful to be a part of EDMT’s High Voltage for her first year! Lyla has been with EDMT for about ten years and has performed in over 20 EDMT shows. Some of her favorite past roles include Gloria Rasputin / Bye Bye Birdie, Katie Nanna / Mary Poppins, Bird Girl / Seussical the Musical, Mersister / Princess / The Little Mermaid, and Fairy Godmother / Disney’s Descendants the Musical. Lyla’s training includes six years of jazz, four years of tap, two years of hip-hop, two years of acting, and five years of vocal training. Lyla is also a third-year member of EDMT’s Tap Company, which has been such a fantastic experience!

Lyla also has such a joy for working with some of EDMT’s youngest performers in EDMT’s training show program. She has been a Cast Leader for the Great Cookie War, as well as Assistant Choreographer for both Frog Princess and GoldiRocks and the Three Bears. She has also absolutely loved being on the artistic side for shows such as The Aristocats and Madagascar Jr, as well as being on the backstage side of all these wonderful shows! She has worked backstage as Stage Manager for GoldiRocks, as Assistant Stage Manager for The Aristocats, and has been a quick-changer for multiple fun shows, including EDMT’s High Voltage.

Lyla also loves being a camp counselor for EDMT’s summer camps! She is so thankful and blessed for every opportunity she has been given to work with such amazing and talented people. In her free time, Lyla loves to hang out with her friends and work as a party princess!

ETHAN PETERSON

Season 18 is Ethan’s second year as a High Voltage cast member. He is so excited to get back under the lights with the friends he has come to adore and is grateful for all the opportunities he’s been given to be part of so many wonderful shows.

He has been cultivating his performing skills for several years through his involvement in musical theater. He has performed in 12 musical theater productions, including Guys and Dolls, Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, and Bye Bye Birdie. He most recently performed in Europe with a Folk Dance ensemble in the Festival Des Enfants Du Monde in Saint Maxient E’Cole, France. He danced with the ensemble and sang as a vocalist in their folk band.

When he’s not performing onstage, you’ll find him working backstage any chance he gets. From Stage Crew to Spotlight Operator, he loves being part of the unseen magic that happens backstage. If he could have his own way, he’d dedicate all of his free time to rehearsing, performing, and helping out backstage.

Ethan’s training consists of two years of jazz dance, including one semester of college Jazz, one year of Folk Dance, and four years of acting.

ELLIANA RAY

Elliana is thrilled to be a second-year member of EDMT’s High Voltage! Elliana has been active with EDMT since the age of five, when she performed in training shows, and then again as a teen. She has been fortunate to participate in 12 amazing EDMT productions. Her favorite roles include The Evil Queen / Disney’s The Descendants, flying in The Little Mermaid, and dancing in The Addams Family.

Elliana’s training includes seven years of ballet, nine years of jazz, and 12 years of tap, as well as vocal lessons. She was on EDMT Tap Company for five years and is now in her second season as the Assistant to the Tap Co Director. Disneyland performances were her highlight both as a performer and an assistant. Her dance background includes six years as a competitive dancer with a local dance school/studio.

Elliana takes great pride as an instructor at EDMT, teaching Mini Me and Musical Theatre Dance classes to the next generations of EDMT kids. This is her third year on staff, and she LOVES it. She also works Summer Camps and Training Shows. Her joy of working with children has come from all the love, support, and attention she received from the teens when she was a young performer. She sees teaching as a chance to give that back. Dance and theatre have always provided Elliana with an extended family and amazing friendships. She looks forward to creating many more memories along her musical theatre journey.

JACOB RUMMEL

Jacob is thrilled to be a part of High Voltage this year! It’s his fourth year with the group, and he’s excited about the amazing experiences ahead.

Jacob has been with EDMT for seven years, taking part in twelve shows. Some of his favorite roles include Bert / Mary Poppins, Plankton / The SpongeBob Musical, and Chef Louis / The Little Mermaid.

Jacob’s talents include five years of jazz, eight years of acting, four years of vocal lessons, and three years of tap under his belt. He’s met so many incredible people at EDMT and is always eager to make new connections with fellow theater enthusiasts.

When he’s not immersed in the world of acting, Jacob loves hanging out with his friends and listening to music. He would like to thank his friends and family for their constant support! His passion for acting is evident, and he’s only just getting started on this amazing journey.

CLAIRE SUNESON

Claire is so excited to perform with High Voltage Season 18 for her fourth year! Claire has been in several past EDMT shows, including Kim Macafee / Bye Bye Birdie, Mrs. Brill / Mary Poppins, and Ethel / 42nd Street. Claire loves performing on stage whether it’s singing, dancing, acting, or (best of all) all in one! Claire started her dance journey with her mom in Zumba classes when she was only three years old-although a majority of that time was spent watching everyone and drinking Sunny D.

Claire has studied ballet for eight years, tap for eight years, jazz for six years, and hip-hop for two years! She cherishes every moment and opportunity given to her at EDMT and has many lifelong friendships that she’s forever grateful for.

Outside of performing, Claire loves to spend time with her family, friends, baking, playing board games, and reading! One random fun fact is Claire loves the Minions and hopes to go to Minion Land at Universal Studios in Orlando sometime soon! Claire is so excited to start another season of High Voltage and hopes you all enjoy the fabulous group!

IRIE TILSON

This is Irie´s third year as a member of High Voltage, and she is beyond grateful to be part of such a talented-fun group! She has performed with EDMT for eight years and has participated in 18 shows. Some of her past roles include Kate / Legally Blonde, Allanna / The Little Mermaid, Mal / Disney’s Descendants the Musical, Bird Girl / Seussical the Musical, Cheerleader / High School Musical, and Children’s Choir / Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Irie’s training includes eight years of jazz dance, six years of tap, and three years of ballet, as well as acting and vocal lessons. Irie is also a proud sixth-year member of EDMT’s Tap Company. Irie also enjoys helping out in multiple aspects of EDMT, such as serving as assistant vocal director for Goldie Rocks and the Three Bears, as well as being a counselor at EDMT’s summer theater camp. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with friends and family, listen to music, and go on walks.

SASHA VON SYDOW

This is Sasha’s third year as a High Voltage member and her fifth season with EDMT. Sasha has been singing, dancing, and acting in over forty-five local stage productions since she was seven.

In addition to musical theater, Sasha is a film actress and model. Sasha attended New York Broadway Up Close dance workshops with her fellow Season 16 High Voltage members, completing training with Broadway professionals from Hadestown and Moulin Rouge, as well as stage combat training with Judi Lewis Ockler. Sasha performed at Disneyland with TAPCO through Disney Imagination Campus. Sasha’s training is extensive, encompassing years of training in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, stage combat, vocals, voice-over, theater acting, and screen acting. She attended Sacramento Broadway Conservatory in 2026, has received dance training at EDMT, Studio65, and Sacramento Broadway workshops. She receives acting training at Studio24 and Broadway Artists Alliance. Sasha has attended a variety of programs and workshops over the years at Sacramento Broadway Dance and Musical Theater
Professional Elite Summer and Winter Intensive Series, Broadway Artists Alliance, NYFA (LA) Acting For Film, and STC Centerstage Conservatory.

In her free time, Sasha enjoys being in nature hiking and paddleboarding with family or friends, going to concerts, dancing, singing in her car, playing her ukulele, drawing, crafting, being on set acting in films or music videos, modeling for designers and photo shoots, and modeling for runway shows.
