SHOW OVERVIEW
Celebrate the holidays by getting back onstage!  EDMT is thrilled to announce Winter Showcase, a December performance opportunity, for ages 6-18.

Instructed by Artistic Director Debbie Wilson, Anjie Wilson and Emily Fritz, performers will rehearse for two hours on six Saturdays to prepare for their final showcase performance.

Each rehearsal, participants will switch between vocal and dance rehearsals to learn a minimum of six holiday numbers.

Participants will be assigned to a stable group (maximum of 20 performers) based on age, and will remain with their group for the duration of the rehearsals and performance.

Each group’s final showcase will take place on December 10th OR 11th, depending on assigned group.  This performance will take place indoors, with a limited number of audience members, based on our county’s current guidelines.  Though performers and staff will be masked for Winter Showcase rehearsals, EDMT will provide each performer a face shield for the final showcase.  That way you can see your performer’s bright and lovely face as they take the stage for the first time in months!

PERFORMER RULES OF CONDUCT
There are standards of behavior you are expected to follow when you participate in any EDMT activity.  They are very simple and can be followed by anyone who knows how to behave appropriately in the company of others.  What does that mean specifically?  We expect every participant to be courteous, respectful, and responsible while understanding that focus, dedication, and commitment are necessary to achieve the group’s goals.

We expect each participant to be punctual and prepared for rehearsal.  Prepared by knowing the material that was covered in the previous rehearsal, and also prepared by being well-groomed and dressed for movement (no jeans) and wearing dance footwear (no tennis shoes).

We also expect that everyone participating in EDMT activities will take good care of the facility; both our rehearsal areas and our performance venues and equipment.  That means cleaning up after yourself and taking your belongings home with you at the end of rehearsal.

It should be no surprise that we have a zero tolerance policy towards any substance abuse.  Violations will result in immediate dismissal and appropriate authorities may be contacted.

Every EDMT participant should understand that their contributions towards a positive, healthy, and supportive environment are necessary for the group to be successful and to ensure that every El Dorado Musical Theatre production is the best it can be for each and every audience member as well as for each and every performer.
